I have had the opportunity to teach both art and intuition classes for children and adults. I feel the traditional ways of learning are becoming outdated. People are opening up and wanting to "discover" and have experiences for themselves rather than have information regurgitated back to them out of a book.
Working in the creative field of Art and "woo-woo" field of Intuition let me take liberties to teach in a new way. I listened to what my students were asking and yearning for and then filled that gap in a way that made education a fun and co-creative experience.
These days with all the Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow children on this planet we as teachers need to step up and meet them at their genius levels. They are ushering in high vibration energy and we can learn as much from them as they do from us.
I conducted a "Society Experiment" with one of my classes. The insights that I came away with were astonishing. I rolled out a 6 foot piece of white paper on a conference room table and told them they can create their own society. They had discussions on how to handle getting water, growing food, rehabilitating people who have broken laws and of course the mode of transportation would be golf carts (so much more fun than cars)!
They proceeded to draw out what this community looked like, the rules governing them (which were to make sure people were emotionally OK and happy first and foremost). The compassion and intelligence that went into creating this society gave me goosebumps and hope for the future. The thing that touched me the most is how they designed the houses. Everyone's home had a pathway connected to the neighbor's home so that if anyone was sad or lonely in the middle of the night they could easily follow the tunnel so they could comfort one another.
This class taught me more than I could have ever taught them. I feel education needs to move to a co-creation process where all involved, teacher and students, each utilize their own strengths and gifts to make the whole a better place.
